“Local Interaction Allowed” Tag in OSD File explained

A very important piece of information, which has not been described very much, is now available on the SoftGrid Team Blog at Microsoft.

It explains a very specific xml tag in the OSD file of a SoftGrid enabled application which makes it possible for an application running in SoftGrid’s bubble (SystemGuard) to interact on a higher level with locally installed applications. The feature is called “LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED”. Read more.

It is necessary for you to understand that this “feature” does not make different SoftGrid Enabled (sequenced) applications interact with each other. The functionality of bubble’s interacting with eachother, internally reffered to as “context support”, will be in a future version of SoftGrid. Maybe version 4.5 but most likely in version 5.0 and will probably be partial interaction.
